CHILDREN‘S MINISTRY

Pre-school, Sundays (Birth - Kindergarten)
Our Sunday morning pre-school discipleship class is studying “Jesus as the Savior” through the Show Me Jesus curriculum by Great Commission Publications. This 2-year curriculum goes from God’s work in creation, the life and work of Jesus, and the promises of God in scripture. Our goal in this class is to introduce our young children to the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.

Kids, Sundays (1st-5th Grade)
Our Sunday morning elementary discipleship class is currently working through the Biggest Story by Crossway. This 2-year curriculum will walk our kids from the book of Genesis to Revelation. Our goal in this class is to familiarize our children with the narrative of the Bible and to help them see how each book and story tells us who God is and what He’s done for us.

TeamKid, Wednesday Kids Ministry (3 years-old-5th grade)
TeamKID is designed for Kids in Discipleship! It features Bible memory games and application of Bible truths, engaging missions videos and activities, and fun activity-based learning, helping your kids grow to be more like Jesus. This semester we are studying the promises of God and the good news of the gospel.

Because we have many kids in TeamKid who come from unbelieving families outside of our church, we have an incredible opportunity to be a light for Christ. It is a grace of God that local parents will bring their children to our church. This ministry requires many adult helpers, so we are always looking for more volunteers to share the joy of serving. If you’re interested in serving, contact Dan Webb or Michael Best.

Weekday Preschool Ministry
Our registration for our 2024-2025 Weekday Preschool (children18 months-Kindergarten) is now open. Click here to register for our Weekday Preschool program. If you’d like to schedule a tour or have additional questions, please call the preschool office (770-754-4105)

VBS, June 3-7
Our children face many big questions daily: Did the mighty creator shape everything? Why does adversity exist? Did Noah's Ark truly sail? What's the significance of salvation for me? Can the scriptures be relied upon? This year’s VBS theme is: The Great Jungle Journey: An Epic Cruise from Genesis to Revelation. Children will uncover how the 7 C’s of history shape our world, bridging the Bible to their daily experiences. If you are interested in serving during VBS, please reach out to Dan Webb or click here. Registration is now open, click here to register your children ages 4 years to 12 years.

Mission trips 2024

Central Asia Mission Trip, May 16 -23
Pastor Jerry is taking a team of 6 people to encourage and minister to families living and serving in a major city of Central Asia. There will be boxes in the hallways outside the Worship Center where you can bring your donation of snacks. Click here for a list of requested items.

Clarkston Mission Trip, July 7-13 (Local)

student ministry

Sunday Students, (6th-12th grade)
Our Sunday morning student discipleship class is currently working through a study through the Westminster Shorter Catechism called “Digging Deeper.”  Our goal is to equip them with faithful, historic Christian teaching to deepen their understanding of the greatness of God and lead them to love Him more. These small group studies are led by a team of teachers who dedicate their time toward prayer and personal study to faithfully lead our students. Please click here to find out more information about Discipleship Classes.

Rooted, Wednesday Student Ministry (6th-12th grade)
Currently our mid-week student ministry is studying the gospel of John as we come face-to-face with Jesus’ incredible claim to be the Son of God. In our meetings, we take time to pray for one another, share life updates, sing, play games, spend time in small groups, and primarily study God’s Word.

Please pray for our students who have trusted Christ, that their faith would be strengthened through our ministry, and that the Holy Spirit would use the clear teaching of the gospel to bring students to true faith and repentance.

Snowbird, June 24-29
Snowbird points our students to Jesus through Gospel-centered discipleship, fun activities, and growing closer as a youth group. Snowbird is open to our students who have completed grades 6-12. The cost for MCC members is $430 per student. Families with siblings will get extra discounts. The cost for non-members is $530 per student. If you have questions, or need more information, please reach out to Dan Webb. Click here to register for Snowbird. Registration deadline is May 24, 2024.

Announcements and Next steps

how to become a christian

Becoming a Christian involves believing the gospel of Jesus Christ. We must accept what the Bible says about God, the world, and us. First, God rules the world in truth and righteousness. Second, the world - including us- rebels against God and revels in sin. Third, Jesus Christ reconciles us to God when we confess our sin and trust his forgiveness. If you are interested in becoming a Christian, we'd love to meet with you and answer any questions.

how to become a member of our church

We believe God wants every Christian to become a covenant member of a local church. If you want to learn more about our church, we invite you to attend our Meaningful Membership class. We offer this six week class at different times throughout the year. Attending the class will not obligate you to become a church member, but we do ask all new members to take the class.

Giving

You may give an offering online by clicking here, by mailing a check to the church, or by dropping an offering in a plate in the church foyer. If you currently don't receive envelopes for giving and would like to, please call the church office or send an email to our Finance Office and we can get envelopes set up for you. If you have other questions related to giving, click here for a guide.

Livestream Link

While watching online is not a replacement for gathering with God’s people on the Lord’s Day, the livestream will be available on Vimeo, YouTube, and our website for those that are providentially hindered from gathering.
