DEACONS OF THE WEEK
Week of Dec. 9-15 – Bud Long and Steve Campbell
NEW CITY CATECHISM
52 Questions and Answers for Our Hearts and Minds – We are using this resource to help teach and reinforce the core doctrines of the Christian faith. Be sure to download the free NCC app.
Question 50 – What does Christ’s resurrection mean for us?
Answer – Christ triumphed over sin and death by being physically resurrected, so that all who trust in him are raised to new life in this world and to everlasting life in the world to come. Just as we will one day be resurrected, so this world will one day be restored. But those who do not trust in Christ will be raised to everlasting death.
A CRABAPPLE CHRISTMAS
•Tonight, 6:30 PM – Presented by the CFBC Worship Ministry, and featuring the Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra. Over 100 participants will share this year’s presentation of A Crabapple Christmas. Invite family and friends to attend with you!
MILTON HS FOOTBALL TEAM SEND OFF
The Milton HS Football Team is playing for the state championship this Wednesday night, Dec. 12. The community has been encouraged to line up along Birmingham Highway to cheer on the team as the buses depart the school. We are opening the Supper line at 5:00 PM for anyone who would like to come, eat, and then step out to the roadside and cheer for the team. We have been told that the buses will depart Milton HS at 5:30 PM. Supper will continue to be served until around 5:50/6:00 PM for those who wish to eat after the send off. This is a great way to connect with others in our community as we support one of our local teams. Also, for those arriving at church around that time, please allow a few extra minutes to get into the parking lot and parked, as there will be additional congestion around the church.
