Back By Popular Demand...it's MOPS!!
"GREAT!" you say, "But what is it?"
No, MOPS is not a bunch of cleaning supplies to scrub the kitchen floor or the latest reality show.
MOPS is a ministry whose purpose is to nurture every Mother Of PreSchoolers by meeting her
distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ.
"Sounds good," you reply. "However, I dont have a preschooler. How does this impace me?"
We're so glad you asked. It has been said that people don't care how much you know until
they know how much you care. In MOPS, the first display of our love and support to the moms
is the love and support we give their children. We are looking for workers for our MOPPETs
division of MOPS - people to care for the children while the moms are being spiritually fed
during our bimonthly meetings.
If your heart melts at the toothless grin of an infant, if a two year old's "tank you"
is your definition of gratitude, if a big "high five" from a four year old keeps you young,
then you are our kind of willing servant.

The MOPS Story
Eight women. The number was small, but the need was great. The first MOPS meeting took place in February 1973 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. For two hours, while their children received care, these mothers talked, laughed, ate, passed a basket for childcare expenses, had a craft demonstration and ended with a short devotional. In this humble beginning, the seeds of the MOPS concept and format were planted. Through friendship, creative outlets, and instruction, the women began to understand that "mothering matters." Today, the same needs for significance are met in much the same way in MOPS groups across the United States and around the world.
